A spooky celebration.
Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter Dannielynn Birkhead is officially 18 and to mark the special occasion, she leaned into a frightful theme. Along with dad Larry Birkhead, Dannielynn got dressed up—gothic glam and all—for some Beetlejuice-themed activities.
"Dannielynn had a great time celebrating her 18th birthday with friends and family by attending the @beetlejuiceafterlife.exp and @beetlejuicemovie which made for an out of this world experience,” Larry wrote on a Sept. 7 Instagram post from the account he and Dannielynn share. “Of course, Dannielynn found a Hot Topic store to get a spooky outfit for all the fun! Happy 18th Birthday Dannielynn!”
In the photos, the newly-minted adult is rocking a spiderweb-printed sheer off-the-shoulder dress with voluminous sleeves and cross necklaces. Dannielynn wore her blonde hair wavy with wavy bangs.
For her glam, she went bold with a smoky eye and black lipstick. She posed with an actor playing Beetlejuice at the Beetlejuice Afterlife Experience in Los Angeles, throwing up double peace signs and grinning.
Earlier in the day, Dannielynn’s proud father posted a sweet birthday tribute to his only daughter, writing, “Happy 18th Birthday Dannielynn! You are my entire heart. I love you more than I can ever express. May you continue on your journey being ‘humble and kind’ and spread the love that you were given to many others. I am beyond proud of you. Happy 18th Birthday Love, Dad. #imnotcryingyourecrying #happybirthday.”
In addition to attending lots of events including the Kentucky Derby and the Official Power Morphicon Convention together, they also enjoy celebrating one another.
Back in January, Larry posted about his birthday, writing on Instagram, “I got trolled on my birthday by my daughter!!” adding his teen “continued her journey to take really bad pictures of me.”
Anna Nicole died in February 2007 when Dannielynn was just 5 months old. And nearly two decades later, Larry and Dannielynn still try to keep the iconic figure’s memory alive.
"In our house, every day is Anna day," Larry told E! News in 2019. "We talk about her and remember her all the time."
