Jana Kramer is ready for the next chapter.
After all, that's what the country music star is naming her upcoming memoir, which will hit shelves on Oct. 24. Titled The Next Chapter, the book will chronicle the aftermath of Jana's divorce from Mike Caussin—they share daughter Jolie, 7, and son Jace, 4—and how she eventually healed from heartbreak.
"I wrote this book to help others going through hard transitions in their lives," the One Tree Hill alum exclusively told E! News. "I felt so alone and lost when I was going through my divorce, but what I realized, and hope readers do as well, is you are going to be okay and you're not alone in your feelings."
Part of the 39-year-old's yearlong healing journey included looking back at past relationships and traumas she suffered, all of which Jana said will be detailed in her memoir.
"The milestone for me was releasing years of shame I didn't realize I was carrying and realizing the key to my happiness," she continued. "No relationship, man, or external things were going to make me happy. I needed to be the one to love myself."
The Next Chapter will be her first solo book. In 2020, seven months before their split, Jana and Mike released The Good Fight—a memoir chronicling rough patches in their marriage, including the former football player's past infidelity and struggles with sex addiction.
Though the pair ultimately couldn't move past their marital issues, leading Jana to file for divorce in April 2021 after six years of marriage, they've learned to make it work as co-parents.
"I have an amazing co-parenting situation with my ex," Jana shared with E! earlier this month. "I didn't think we'd get to that place and we're there. It's like, 'No, we've got this. We'll figure it out.' I think that piece has been really nice."
As for her love life? Jana recently took the big step with Scottish soccer coach Allan Russell and got engaged after nearly seven months of dating.
"It's a very respectful relationship," the singer previously noted. "And I don't think I've ever experienced something like that, where it's like he respects me so much and I respect him. There's so much love and respect. I'm like, 'Oh my god, what a concept!'"
The Next Chapter, out on Oct. 24, is available for pre-order now.
