Travis Kelce Addresses Typo on His $40K Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Ring

Travis Kelce doesn't think the Kansas City Chiefs fumbled their 2024 Super Bowl ring.
The NFL star addressed the typo many fans have noticed on the $40,000 bauble celebrating the team's fourth Super Bowl win. As seen on the Chief's website, the piece of jewelry listed all four playoff opponents they faced in their road to victory, though the Miami Dolphins—who they played against on Jan. 13—was incorrectly listed as the seventh seed instead of the sixth.
Pointing out the "one major little goof on the ring," Travis' older brother Jason Kelce asked during the June 19 episode of their New Heights podcast if the tight end was going to "get it fixed."
His response? "I don't give a s--t," Travis quipped. "Does anybody care?"
In fact, the 34-year-old believes the gaffe "makes it more exclusive."
"I like it that we didn't give a f--k about what seed Miami is," he joked. "I think it makes it more unique. Like, 'Oh, yeah, we made it really detailed, and, oops, we screwed up.'"
Travis added, "We screwed up about something that means nothing."
The rings were unveiled at a star-studded ceremony in Missouri June 13. Though Travis' girlfriend Taylor Swift was not in attendance due to her Eras Tour in the United Kingdom, she did join a livestream of the event to see the ring, which features more than 500 diamonds totaling to an overall 14.8 carats.
The impressive piece also includes 38 rubies, 17 miniature gold leaves and an etching of coach Andy Reid's handwritten game-winning play.
Now with three of the Chiefs' four Super Bowl wins under his belt—or rather, on his hand—does that mean Travis will be following his brother's footsteps into retirement? Not quite.
"It's a thought that's like, 'I love playing this game at the highest level possible, and I love playing at it at a level where I know I can have a bunch of success,'" he told Jason, after the former Philadelphia Eagles center joked that "Travis is pretty f--king old."
Travis continued, "I know I can still go out there and mow down dudes in the end zone. I know I can go out there and catch a flat route and turn it into a 15-, 20-yard game and make a few guys miss."
The athlete added that "the moment that I can't do that, I think that's when I'm just gonna be like, 'Alright. What am I doing this for?'"
"I get excitement out of catching a ball," Travis shared, "splitting a bunch of defenders, and getting a huge first down when nobody expected me to do it."
